Our department of Commerce and IQAC, Katwa College have jointly organized one day webinar on the below mentioned topic, date, time and platform. Prof. Utpal Das, Coordinator, IQAC, Katwa College has given the welcome address to the participants of the webinar. Dr. Nirmalendu Sarkar,Principal , Katwa College delivered the introductory speech on behalf of the organizer as well as Katwa College for first time conducting webinar in the name of our college. Dr. Arun Kumar Patra, Convener of this webinar introducing the webinar theme and the speaker. He also discussed the perspective of the selection of theme in the context of new tax structure introduced by Dr. Nirmala Sitaraman,the Hon'ble Finance Minister,Govt. of India, side by side keeping in force old tax structure. Which tax structure should be followed by individual assessee (teacher's fellow in various institutions) so that they can lowering their tax burden within the purview of Income Tax Act.

Our hon'ble speaker of this webinar Dr. Chittaranjan Sarkar elaborately discussed the theme in a lucid language citing small examples in such a way so that each and every participants understand their own tax liability and which tax structure new or old he should follow to lowering his personal tax burden. There were 206 registered participants from various institutions out of which 98 were present at a time. 18 participants took part in interaction session which makes the webinar interesting and educative on the part of participants. In the process of feedback system 185 participants encouraged us by giving lots of suggestions and constructive criticism by which we must enriched. In spite of no previous experience of conducting webinar and lot of infrastructural and technical problems our webinar shaped a grand success with help of active participation, interaction and heartfelt cooperation of the participants.
Our programme was ended over with vote of thanks to the chair, other dignitaries and the participants by Prof. Utpal Das, Co-ordinator, IQAC, Katwa College.
